My background is fine arts/painting, but for the past 25 years I have been involved in 3D scanning for visual effects and product design, and software development for manipulating 3D geometry, be it scanned or otherwise.
A lot of those years have been involved in working purely with a 3D model within the computer space. In recent years I have explored taking that data back into the real world through the use of 3D printing, CNC machining, casting in metal or other materials to create that real-world version. So it is only in recent years I have explored revisiting my art practice and my background history of the past 25 years tends to inform these pieces.
My current work explores the human form and a concern for the environment. I exhibited extensively during the 1980’s and 90’s. Recent exhibitions include Sculpture by the Sea Cottesloe 2021 and 2023, Castaways and the Mandorla Art Award.
